It was one strange growing season here in Umbria. Lessons learned for next year's plantings. Still enjoying the fruits of our labors, however, and we therefore must honor the miracle of growth. Now we look forward to 'frutta del bosco' (literal translation: fruit of the woods). Porcini mushrooms, truffles, chestnuts, walnuts...all the Fall flavors await.
